Welcome to the Comanche 4 Legacy Project About The Site : As Comanche 4 nears the 10 year anniversary of its release, this site is being constructed to preserve our Comanche 4 history and provide the players in the C4 community with a biography detailing the events they experienced during that time. Members of the Comanche 4 Community are invited to take part. This site is a community resource but more than that, this is our Legacy. Project Background : The project started with an offer from Bluetiereign owner of Checkpointdelta to provide sub-domains to each Comanche 4 squad past and present to host a Squad history site free from outside moderation. The idea has grown into a project intended as a complete history of Comanche 4 and the C4 community including NovaLogic background, game development, squad history, pertinent web archives and general tidbits about players, map makers, modders, and other members of the community who at different times have effected Comanche 4 and the community. Project Coordinators Introduction : For those in the community that do not know me, I am a Admin at Checkpointdelta and have been involved in the Comanche 4 community since 2002. In the past I have been involved in creating maps and mods for Comanche 4, Black Hawk Down and Joint Operations, I have also have had numerous fan sites for NovaLogic games. The old timers know me as Reaper from DIE squad, newer members may have seen me on the forums at CPD. For those in the community that do not know me, I am one of the Admins at Checkpointdelta and been involved in the Comanche 4 community since 2002. In the past I have been involved in creating maps and mods for Comanche 4 and Black Hawk Down. I have played and written maps as both Bluetiereign and EyeInStein. Research, Copyright and Squad Information : Research for this site was done using Web Archives at the Wayback Machine to recover squad information, research competition leagues and other Comanche 4 fan sites. The information from that research as been sourced and compliled into the archive pages presented here at Legacy. This site includes links to Wayback Machine archived pages so players can step back in time to see that information. Typically those pages have broken links, missing graphics, and take along time to load. Wayback to Legacy conversions : The players who created the sites we have linked to at the wayback machine are welcome to contact the project to have the wayback machine archived pages copied to the Legacy Project. Your pages will be cleaned up, the wayback information removed and links repaired to improve access to your sites pages. About the Articles and Biography Section : This section was added to bio squads, players and to present commentary on various aspects of the game and the community. Some players, squads and events may not be listed and credited as they should be, or omitted all together. Its nothing personal, in most cases it is just an over site. In other cases the author does not have all the back ground or knowledge of the events. Be a part of the Legacy : As a community project everyone is welcome to submit articles, bios, send screen shots, or to add commentary to any of the Legacy Project pages already completed. To send screen shots, game scores, or other picture data, place the data in a folder, then zip the folder and contents and email them to Reaper. To submit a new article or bio: create the webpage, include your player name under page heading as authored by, then email the webpage and content to Reaper. Or Write up the information on a WordPad document, include your player name and your email contact (your email will not be posted on the site) so I can verify who sent the information and you must agree to be credited as the author/contributor. The project will create the page for you and add it to the Legacy Project in the appropriate section.
